Environmental Policy

Hamlin believes that care for the environment should be an integral part of the management of the business. The company will seek to set high standards of environmental performance, in parallel with good quality health and safety performance.

Overall responsibility for the environmental policy rests with the President.

This policy is to:

Comply with existing legislation and relevant standards
Prevention of pollution
Optimize energy efficiency
Minimize the production of waste, by re-cycling or reuse wherever possible, and disposing of residual waste safely
Seek suppliers who have high environmental performance standards
Provide an organization structure and management systems which ensure effective environmental management, supported by environmental auditing and review
Set and monitor targets for continuous environmental improvement
Communicate this policy to all employees

This policy is available to the general public, A copy is posted in the reception area of all Hamlin facilities.

This policy is mandatory. It is implemented though a documented management system designed to comply with the requirements of ISO14001.

All employees are encouraged to make suggestions for improvements, these should are directed to the Quality Manager, Human Resources Manager or the Health, Safety and Environmental Officer.
