Sensor Development
Phase Four – Stable Production
Flexible, high quality manual assembly.
The experienced production engineering team at Hamlin work continually to refine and improve manufacturing processes. Lean manufacturing principles are applied throughout the worldwide network of plants. Our high quality workforces are encouraged to be closely involved in improving quality and productivity and have enthusiastically embraced and understood the benefit of a wide range of lean working tools.
Cellular manufacturing is widely used, with U-shaped or parallel process alignments. Techniques such as Poka Yoke (error proofing) and SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies - rapid tool change) and Heijunka (production leveling).
Waste and time saving techniques, such as JIT (Just in Time), Kanban or Pull systems are applied to ensure manufacturing efficiency.
High volume surface mount assembly.
