Sensor Development
Phase Two - Prototype Build & Design Validation
In-house tooling for rapid turnaround on prototype & development tools. Coupled with a network of low cost, high quality suppliers for production tooling.
Following agreement between customer and Hamlin engineers, prototype samples are produced rapidly to further optimize the design before producing tooling
Hamlin use a range of processes for producing accurate 'A' Samples or RP (rapid prototype) parts including FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling), SLA (Stereo lithography Apparatus) and SLS (Selective Laser Sintering). Parts are available in a choice of engineering quality thermoplastics, ensuring that the plastic parts remain dimensionally stable under a wide range of environmental conditions.
This is followed by the 'B' sample phase where single cavity injection molded parts and sensors are manufactured using prototype tooling to provide functional samples for Design Validation testing.
